Skymark Airline, a Japan domestic airline is now approved to fly an international charter flight services between Japan-Palau from February 11 to March 17 of 2020, originating from Narita, Japan.

The charter service is non-stop direct flight connecting Japan and Palau with approximately four and half hour of flying time.  The airline will be using a Boeing 737-100 aircraft on this route.

Travel packages to Palau on Skymark Airlines can be obtained through JTB Corporation, H.I.S. Co. Ltd., Kinki Nippon Tourist Metropolitan Co. Ltd., Rakuten, Inc., SKYPAK Tours Inc. and Global Services Co. Ltd.

Since Delta Airline pulled out its scheduled direct services between Japan and Palau in early 2018, no other airline had stepped in to fill the gap.  Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways continue to fly charters only during specific times and flights to Palau from Japan requires stop-over either in Guam, Korea or Taiwan.

The Skymark airline which has been preparing and planning for this route for over a year, is finally set to fly within the first quarter of next year with hopes of stimulating the travel demand between these two destinations. (L.N. Reklai)
