Belau Games 2021 is heating up, with elimination rounds in many sports reaching their final rounds. Medals tallies are racking up with Sonsorol still in the lead with 20 overall medal counts of 6 golds, 10 silver, and 4 bronzes.
They followed closely by Airai with overall count of 17 medal, a highest number of gold, 8 golds, 6 silver, and 3 bronze. Koror a close 3rd in overall medal counts with 16 total medals, 6 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronzes.
Hatohobei comes 4rd with 10 medals, 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronzes, followed by Ngatpang with 7 medals, Aimeliik with 6, Ngchesar with 5, Peleliu with 5, Ngaraard with 4, Ngarchelong with 4, Melekeok with 3, Angaur with 2 and Ngeremlengui with 1.
Most of medals garnered so far are from athletics such as weight lifting, and wrestling, while team sports are still going through elimination rounds. Medal tallies may change after team sports including athletics (races) toward the end of this week conclude.
