The Speaker Tadao Ngotel Scholarship for school year 2020-2021 was awarded to Ms. Yolsau E. Victor, a graduate of Mindszenty High School who is now pursuing a nursing degree at Palau Community College.
The scholarship, which has been awarded every year since 2005, is a $500 award given to an exceptional high-school graduate from Ngarchelong State. It is administered by the Palau National Scholarship Board (PNSB).
The recipient must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
The award was presented to Ms. Victor by Ms. Merli Ngotel Kuartei and PNSB Chairperson
Gaafar J. Uherbelau.
The late Mr. Ngotel strongly supported higher education. His family has said that they intend to continue awarding the scholarship for as long as they can.
