[] PNOC encourages public

to be active in sports programs

The Palau National Olympic Committee (PNOC) and All Sports Federations broadened their sports programs in the community and are encouraging the public to participate.

The PNOC, All Sports Federations are inviting everyone to attend and take advantage of the active programs and sports events which were designed for everyone.


For those who are interested in canoeing, trainings and practice are slated every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5pm. Basketball Leagues for all departments are also held every night at the National gym.

The Palau Major League Season has also begun its evening games that run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

A swimming practice is also available for those who want to learn to swim starting every 4 p.m. at the National Swimming Pool in Meyuns while the indoor Volleyball trainings are also scheduled every 5:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. at the Palau High School gym.

Tahiti Basic Aerobics is also offered every Wednesday for kids with age ranging from two to seven years old at  6-7 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m for adults aging 18 and above.

Trainings for Wrestling, Judo and Table Tennis are also scheduled every 5:30 p.m. every week.

Cross Training with Boxing Federation also available every Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:15pm at National Gym.

Track and Field trainings are also conducted at the track venue every afternoon and regular walk for life events every other weekend. Archery practice and training is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Airai Elementary School field.

The Palau Zumba group also offers Zumba for everyone every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Maris Stella School Auditorium. Another Zumba program is also held on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the former Suriyotai Restaurant Bldg. while the Palasia also serves as a venue for another Zumba session on Fridays at Palasia from 6-7pm.
