A team of Medical practitioners from the Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital (SKH) in Taiwan is in Palau for a two-week medical mission.
The team which is comprised of medical practitioners specializing in dermatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and nutrition had arrived in Palau on June 2.
Shin Kong Hospital Medical Assistance Program to Palau Program Coordinator Ching-Hwa Lin said in an interview with Island Times on June 5 that their team will be conducting outreach program every Tuesday and Friday and they also intend to extend the services to other states such as Ngarchelong, Peleliu, and Melekeok.
Lin said that their team will also conduct endoscopy procedure at the hospital during their mission.
This is not the first time that the hospital did medical mission in Palau.
According to Lin, they will also be sending cardiologist to the community and bring ultrasound machine so patients can simply have their hearts checked.
