Taiwan donated $200,000 for the Funding of MCSF

On August 15, 2019, Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow of the ROC (Taiwan) handed over a check of $200,000 for the funding of Micronesia Center for Sustainable Future (MCSF), to Minister of Finance Elbuchel Sadang.

The Government of Taiwan is the main donor of the MCSF, now changed to Micronesia Islands Forum Secretariat (MIFS). From 2015 till now, Taiwan has sponsored 400,000 US dollars to MIFS for managing meetings of the MIF and MPS, developing administrative support and accounting capacity, supporting and facilitating country efforts in moving forward on sub-regional initiatives mandated by MIF and MPS, establishing policy development and assessment capacity.
