On April 24, Ambassador Jessica C. Lee handed over a check of $1,000 to Belau National Museum (BNM), in support of the Museum’s annual publication of “State of the Palau’s Birds.” Palau owns the richest bird diversity of any island group in Micronesia with over 168 bird species.

BNM holds community bird watching activities regularly in order to raise local awareness about Palau’s unique bird biodiversity.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in the Republic of Palau supports this action, and hopes to strengthen the general public’s awareness of ecology conservation and environmental sustainability through this donation
