The Republic of China (Taiwan), represented by Ambassador Wallace Chow, presented a check for $50,000 to Chief of Staff of the President’s Office Secilil Eldebechel to sponsor Palau’s upcoming Independence Day fireworks display on September 4.
Palau’s 26th Independence Day will take place this October 1.
Palau has contracted Giant Show, one of the most well-respected firework companies in Taiwan, for the display. The company has launched Palau’s Independence Day fireworks in prior years.
Giant Show has also won the bids in the past few years for the display of the Cross-Year Fireworks of Taipei 101 Building, once the tallest building in the world.
