Palau’s baseball group, the Palau Major League (PML), will have two friendship games with the Taiwan International Baseball Interchange Development Association on August 25 and 26 at Asahi Baseball Field at 5pm.
Twenty-four Taiwan Baseball players are coming to Palau along with their family members for the games.
The Republic of China – Taiwan Embassy in Koror is also inviting the public to come and watch the two groups showcase their skills in the sport.
Aside from the games, the two groups will also sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for future sports exchanges.
Once the MOU is signed, the two groups will agree to have annual friendship exchange games starting this year until 2022.
This Baseball game, according to the Taiwan Embassy in Palau, was first hosted by Korea in 2009 and played by the retired professional baseball players. It now grew into an annual game participated by countries such as Japan, Taiwan, the United States, Palau, Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, and China. Taiwan is hosting the game this year.
