KOROR, Palau — Families across Palau will have three days of free food, games and cultural discovery next month when the annual Taiwan–Palau Trade and Cultural Show returns to the Surangel Super Center from July 10–12.

The Taiwan Embassy in Palau said the event aims to introduce high-quality Taiwanese products to Palauan consumers, promote fuel-efficient transportation options amid rising fuel prices, and strengthen the cultural bond between the two nations.

Admission is free all three days.

Embassy officials said two Taiwanese chefs will partner with local restaurants and on July 11 will serve more than 1,000 portions of traditional Taiwanese cuisine at no cost to visitors. That evening, a Taiwan Night Market will run from 6 to 10 p.m. in partnership with the Palau Visitors Authority, which is inviting local night market vendors to participate alongside the visiting chefs.

“Both Taiwan and Palau share a vibrant night market culture,” the embassy said. “We’ve prepared plenty of prizes, and we can’t wait to bring the joy of playing and winning at a Taiwan night market to the children of Palau.”

The show will also feature an interactive AI Sports zone — including a golf simulator, mini-golf sets and a basketball machine shipped from Taiwan — where visitors of all ages can compete for prizes. Embassy officials said the activities are designed to encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Organizers have arranged five themed exhibition areas: Green Mobility & Sports; Smart Living & Essential Infrastructure; Maritime & Communication Excellence; Premium Hospitality & Food; and Interactive Cultural Grandeur.

The green mobility section will showcase Taiwanese bicycles and motorcycles, which embassy officials said could help Palauans reduce fuel costs and support land-based tourism by bike.

“We hope visitors come away with a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s products, innovation and culture, and a renewed sense of the close friendship between Taiwan and Palau,” the embassy said.

The Taiwan–Palau Trade and Cultural Show runs July 10–12 at Surangel Super Center in Koror. All exhibits and activities are free and open to the public.
