Taiwan to sponsor new Temporal Exhibit of BNM

On August 13, 2019, Ambassador Wallace M.G. Chow of the ROC (Taiwan) handed over a check of ten thousand US dollars for sponsoring the new temporal exhibit of BNM for commemorating the 25th anniversary of Palau’s Independence and the 20th anniversary of Palau and Taiwan’s diplomatic relations, to Baklai Temengil-Chilton, Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs and Director of Belau National Museum, Olympia E. Morei-Remengesau.

Belau National Museum will work with Dr. Yu-Ping Chen from Feng Chia University in Taiwan to set up this new temporal exhibit for the preservation of Palau cultural and language heritage as well as for the connections to the Austronesian Cultures.

This new Temporal Exhibit will be expected to open to the public before Oct. 1st, 2019 as a part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Palau’s Independence Day. (PR)
