Ms. Alvina Timarong has served as Vice Chairperson of the PCC Board of Trustees (BOT) since 2021. Earlier this year, following the expiration of the term of former Chairman Mr. Kione Isechal, she assumed the role of Acting Chairperson for the remainder of her term. During the interim period, Ms. Romana Wong served as Acting Chairperson of the Board. Ms. Timarong was recently re-appointed to the Board by His Excellency President Surangel Whipps Jr. and confirmed by the Olbiil Era Kelulau (OEK). On July 23, 2025, she was officially sworn in to serve an additional four-year term as
a member of the PCC Board of Trustees.
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, during the regular meeting of the PCC Board of Trustees and in accordance with due process, Ms. Alvina Timarong was formally nominated for the position of Chairperson. With a quorum present, the Board conducted a vote and unanimously elected Ms. Timarong as the new Chairperson of the PCC Board of Trustees. We sincerely thank Ms. Timarong for her dedication and support to Palau Community College, and look forward to working together under her guidance and leadership.
