Palau International Airport Terminal gets a new and bright makeover inside both its arrival and departure areas. Once bland walls are now filled with lively, colorful underwater scenes that are sure to give Palau’s visitors a sense of beauty and excitement. The beautiful murals were created by a famous Japanese mural artist Mr. Kensuke Miyazaki, as part of the 30th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Palau. The work incorporated school children from local elementary schools and residents. The completion ceremony took place yesterday, July 29, 2024 at the Palau International Airport.Yesterday, July 29, eligible retirees lined up to pick up $480 social assistance check made possible through the enactment of the last supplemental budget. The traffic line went from Chamayong Cultural Center all the way to Mindzenty High School until around 9:30am. Last Friday, those earning $15K to 30K picked up their $480 tax refunds.
