Grima, called, Wormtongue is a fictional character in the LORD OF THE RINGS. Gríma is widely disliked in Edoras; everyone except Théoden calls him “Wormtongue”. In Old English wyrm means “serpent, snake, dragon”, and Gandalf repeatedly compares him to a snake. The more Wormtongue whispered to Theoden the more insane he became. He was the mouthpiece for Saroman -the evil greedy antagonist.
Watching the U.S mainstream media is like watching Théoden turns ugly. They’re so afraid to see the truth or see things without Wormtongue whispering hatred into their ears.
I may disagree with some policies of President Whipps but I can never hate him. I pray for him because the LORD tells us to do so. And I’ve known him since he was a boy. How could I hate people who think differently from me?
In our business counseling the one seeking inner healing we encourage them to recall – at least one pleasant attachment memory. We are capable of recalling good memories from the age of eight months. Their voice, smells, faces, taste, even when they are not present. These happy memories become their anchors. This is how stories change the way we see things.
