Two women in law enforcement have been charged with conspiracy to import methamphetamine into Palau, according to court records.
Loretta Dilbodel Leeroy, a police officer with the Division of Patrol at the Bureau of Public Safety, was allegedly caught with 88 grams of methamphetamine inside her body upon arriving from Guam on Sept. 2, 2024, under Criminal Case No. 24-050. Leeroy has been a police officer since 2017.
According to police documents, Dearlyn Rebluud, a state ranger from Melekeok, allegedly purchased Leeroy’s airline ticket and provided her with $5,000 to travel to Guam to obtain the drugs. Upon Leeroy’s arrival in Palau, a search initially found six e-cigarettes, prompting a secondary search that revealed the hidden methamphetamine.
Leeroy was arrested, and her bail was set at $50,000. (By: L.N. Reklai)
