A 21-year-old inmate, Takisang Iyar was stabbed in the neck by another inmate at Koror jail during an altercation where both were seen chasing each other.
According to the police report, both were seen chasing each other at around 11 am on February 22, 2023. After subduing the two inmates, Takisang was found bleeding heavily from a neck wound and was rushed to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Emergency Room.
Takisang was in jail on charges of possession and trafficking of methamphetamine.
The inmate, Omar Takada, allegedly stabbed Takisang and is said to be in isolation while CID investigates.
