A young life was taken in another tragic automobile accident early Saturday morning in Medalaii, Koror, when a young female driver drove her car into a power pole, knocking it
down and causing power outages in Medalaii and part of Meyuns.
The victim, a 26-year old woman identified as Chrislynn Ongrung, was driving a black sedan toward Malakal and Meyuns when she veered off the main road, hitting a power pole on the left side of the road in front of former President Haruo Remeliik’s residence.
According to the police report, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. No official information on the cause of the accident is reported and the Bureau of Public Safety says the incident is still under investigation.
The victim is a young mother, loved and mourned by family and friends.
