Koror, Palau – On September 16, 2021, the Palau Conservation Society (PCS) received a generous donation of $1,000 from the Eurasia Pacific Lines. Chairman of the Eurasia board, Senator Mason N. Whipps along with Secretary of the Board Senator TJ Remengesau presented the in-kind donation to Chairman of the PCS Board Dave Orrukem, board treasurer Elbuchl Sadang and board member King Sam.
Chairman Whipps reflected on the importance of the company’s support towards community efforts and local initiatives such as PCS. The pandemic has continued to affect businesses across all fields, and Eurasia’s shipping business has been no exception. According to Chairman Whipps, cargo values have been on a steep incline since the pandemic started since the beginning of 2020.
“We are committed. We believe that, as being a good corporate citizen, kired el support a local initiatives el ua PCS”. Chairman Whipps expressed the difficulties that Eurasia has been facing. Although it has been difficult, Eurasia stands behind their support to the environment by continuing to donate as a Corporate Partner of Conservation (CPC) to PCS. “If it takes a little bit away from the bottom line, that’s fine. It’s the right thing to do”, stated Chairman Whipps.
The PCS board and staff are extremely grateful for corporate partners such as Eurasia Pacific Lines for their continued support towards environmental conservation.
