After a successful three days of restless weekend, the 18th Micronesia Cup 2016 has come to an end. Over 300 plus participants of 27 different teams flew all the way from Guam, CNMI, Japan, and Hong Kong to join the race.

The event kicked off on friday October 21 with V1 500m Sprint and the day after with V6 1500m and 500m Sprint and concluded with a long distance race on sunday October 23 2016.

Awarding Ceremony was held later in the evening that day at Neco Drop Off Bar & Grill.

Micronesia Cup is held in Palau, Saipan or Guam every year. Last year, the event was supposed to be held in Saipan, but Typhoon Soudelor canceled the races. Guam will be hosting the 19th Micro Cup next year in October 2017.

Palau National Olympic Committee and Canoe Association of Palau congratulate all the participants for a wonderful race this year.

They also expressed appreciation to all their partners and donors, support that led to a successful event.
