Here and around the world, women, young, old, traditional and modern, are raising issues addressing the many roles women play in society. This year’s International Women’s Day’s theme is “BalanceforBetter”, promoting more balanced world, gender-balance in business, in politics, in media, in salaries and more.
Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs will be conducting a Women Entrepreneurship Capacity Network Building Forum on March 7 and 8 aimed at supporting women in business, boards and best practices for sustaining business in Palau. The event is sponsored in part by the Office of the President and Australia Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in conjunction with Gender Mainstreaming Policy.
The event will have Ms. Renee Yeh, a Taiwan Serial Entrepreneur and Professional Translator as its guest speakers and will feature many local women in different capacities to add to the discussions.
Other agencies and embassies will be feature different programs focused on women’s accomplishments and promoting #BalanceforBetter theme. “Better the balance, Better the world.” (L.N. Reklai)
