The 28th Police Academy kicked off this month with a bang, with High Chief Reklai Rafael Bao Ngirmang, a former US Marine, conducting the Drills and Ceremony (D&C) commands with twenty-three (23) excited cadets.
Drilling into the young cadets the values of good public servants, Chief Reklai Ngirmang challenged the cadets to conduct themselves with integrity, professionalism, and courage.
Sharing with the cadets his experiences acquired during his years of service, he emphasized that the academy train the cadets on D&C but also trains them to be leaders in any field of their choosing as good public servants.
He urged them to practice values of leadership, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage as public servants.
Heading the training of the 28th Police Academy is Officer in Charge Lieutenant Lebuu Gibbons with the assistance of Sergeant Sabino Kyota Jr. and the administrative support of Ms. June Ultirakl. The 23 cadets training to become law enforcement officers will be assigned to different agencies within the Bureau of Public Safety.
