Palau National Team swimmers participated in an underwater clean-up at T-Dock on March 18th in preparation for the Winter Championship upcoming on March 26th.

Water polo is fast growing in popularity world-wide with Palau specializing in ocean-based water polo. The annual Winter Swimming Championship will include a 4-by-4 water polo tournament at T-dock. The public is invited to watch and give the sport a try.

The 2021-2022 Winter Swimming Championship will take place held this Saturday, March 26th at T-Dock in Koror. Instead of pool events, this year’s Winter Championship includes an open water swim and a 4- on-4 water polo tournament. The public is invited to participate.

The Open Water event will feature three distances – 500 meters, 1500 meters, and 3 Kilometers. Pre- registration is encouraged (contact jjonas@palaunoc.org) but will also be accepted at T-dock between 7 and 7:30 AM on Saturday. No registrations will be accepted past 7:30 to ensure safety of all participants.

Immediately after the open water, PSA swimmers will participate in a 4-on-4 water polo tournament. Although the competition is for competitive swimmers, there will be opportunities for the general public to give water polo a try. Water polo is a fast-growing sport worldwide; PSA can almost guarantee LOVE AT FIRST TRY.
