The second half of August looks quite a busy time for the Palau government, with multiple events and visits from high-level dignitaries from outside.
From August 20 to 21, Palau expects to host a Saudi Arabia delegation. From the 21st to the 25th, Palau will be welcoming a large number of delegations from Japan, from Japan Friendship League and Japan Prefecture.
The Joint Heads of Pacific Security (JHOPS) meeting will be here from August 23-24 with 80 security leaders from about 20 countries.
Also happening this month, Palau will also host a US delegation on August 25.
From August 15 to 24, CPFC conference will take place, and from the 26th to the 28th, Pacific Water, Wastewater Association will also be having a conference.
Minister Ngirai Tmetuchl of HRCTC said to welcome these guests. With tourism growing slowly, meetings and conferences help boost Palau’s economy.
