May 25, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Total of 587 students all across the island nation graduate this week to the next level in pursuit of their educational goals.


Out of the 568 students, 237 are eight graders from public and private schools promoted to high school in the coming school year.  211 are students graduating from high schools, both private and public, to either further their college experience or seek other training avenues.

Palau Community College, the only secondary institution in Palau graduated 139 students. Another 24 of the graduating students were conferred Masters in Arts degrees from San Diego State University in Education Leadership with Specialized course in Public Administration.

Additionally scholarships were awarded to students from various scholarship donors, private citizens, family trusts, corporations and NGOs by deserving students. [/restrict]
