The solar radio clock donated three years ago by Yukio Yamagami, teacher of Japanese language of Mindszenty High School, broke down this past December.

During Christmas holidays, he went to Japan to buy the clock.

The first clock donated to the school was brought from Japan to Mindszenty by Yamasaki’s daughter, because the store in Japan does not ship radio clocks overseas.

The current clock was taken from Japan to MHS by Yukio Yamasaki himself.

He worried about Palauan time. In Japan, students tend to meet 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled time.  Many students are late in Palau. He wanted to fix it.
