The Australian Embassy would like to extend a warm welcome to its new Office Manager, and the Embassy’s first employee, Ms Lila Ucheliou Demei. Ms Demei graduated from Palau Community College and has dedicated the past 15 years to international relations working as a Foreign Service Officer in the Ministry of State and most recently as an Administrative Assistant within the Office of the President. As the Australian Embassy’s Office Manager, Ms Demei will oversee administrative functions and provide high level executive and organisational support to the Ambassador. Ms Demei’s work experience including as Charge d’ Affaires in Taiwan will be beneficial to the new Embassy as it expands its operations in Palau. “I am very excited to take on this new role as Office Manager and I look forward to being a part of the expansion of the Australian Embassy,” said Ms Demei.
