Wednesday, November 09, 2016,-Palau Community College (PCC) recently received donations from the Belau Art Gallery and Shawarma Corner in support of its fundraising efforts this year. The donations included three (3) $10 Certificates and three (3) $5 Certificates from Shawarma Corner as well as five (5) gift bags from Belau Art Gallery.
Belau Art Gallery was the first fine art gallery to open in the Republic of Palau. It was established in 2004 by Artist Michael Glinski. Mr. Glinski made Palau his permanent home following his success as an Ocean Artist, drawing inspiration from Palau’s incredible natural beauty both above and below the ocean’s surface. The gallery features original oil paintings and limited edition prints as well as a multitude of other artworks, including sculptures and custom Palau inspired jewelry designed by Mr. Glinski. The Shawarma Corner is a newly opened fast-food place that offers a variety of healthy cuisines such as shawarma, hummus, burritos, and so much more. It is located at the Koror-Babeldaob Gas Station (KB Gas Station) in Airai and is opened from Monday to Thursday from 7:30AM to 10:00PM, Friday from 7:30AM to 6:00PM (sunset), Saturday from 6:00PM to 12:AM, and Sunday from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.
