The Belau Medical Clinic (BMC) has donated $350 to the 2021 Arts & Tides Calendar contest. The contest began in 2001, as a way to use the creativity of students in Palau to provide education and advocacy about environmental issues. This year’s theme, “Saving Our Oceans from Plastic Pollution,” aims to create awareness and promote action against the amount of plastic that is placed in our oceans every year.
Since the beginning, this program has been supported by the generosity of community groups and businesses like the BMC, who continue to contribute to its success. In particular, donations for this year are appreciated because of the impact that the Coronavirus has had on Palau’s economy. BMC has been donating to the Arts & Tides calendar since 2011, showing their strong support for environmental art education.
The Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to BMC, and to all groups and businesses who have continued to support the Arts & Tides Calendar, and to the people of Palau for their continued support.
