Dee-Raya Antonio, representing Belau, arrived in Nauru this week to participate in the 35th Miss Pacific Islands Pageant. She is vying for the coveted title alongside contestants from American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, and Tonga.

On Sunday, a random draw determined the order of appearances and interview topics for each contestant. Antonio drew number three and will be interviewed on the topic of the environment. The pageant’s grand finale will be held on February 2nd and 3rd.

This marks the first time Nauru has hosted the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant. The event is a celebration of Pacific Islander culture, beauty, and advocacy. Contestants compete in various segments, including cultural presentations, talent showcases, and evening gown appearances. (By: L.N. Reklai)
