On Friday, September 16th, the United States Embassy in Palau, together with the Palau Visitors Authority, held an American Night Market at Ernguul Central Park from 5:00pm-9:00pm .

A fun event for family, the American Night Market as International Night featured fun games and activities from the Civic Action Team and a Bluegrass performance by the US-based band, The Micros. Visitors were also treated to free ice cream and popcorn. Madam Ambassador Amy J. Hyatt, Ambassador of the United States, opened the evening entertainment, which included live band entertainment and dance performances by the Aloha Dancers and Palau Community College Pohnpei Student Organization.
The Mindszenty High School Sophomores held a fundraising, which earned over $1,000.00.
These Palau Night Markets and International Night Markets provide an opportunity for small entrepreneurs to display and sell their products. The markets also allow for visitors to meet and mingle with local Palauans. This International Night Market included twenty vendors, who sold a combined $8,314.30 worth of their products to over 2,500 tourists and locals.
