On June 7, 2019, BMR-R.O.C (Taiwan) Aquaculture Project delivered 2K Klsebuul to Mr. Mathew’s fish farm in Ngchesar state. The fry was successfully released in earthen ponds. The new trials for intensive rabbit fish aquaculture were conducted with the initial length under 3-4 inches and 10 g weight.
AP experts Mr. Cheng and Mr. Jack Lin demonstrated the instructions to farmer how to use probiotic product which can decompose harmful elements in proper dosage. Aside from the pond culture management, AP experts also gave guidelines to fish farmers setting up the feeding regime and diets supplemented with seaweed attractant to increase fish feed intake.
The Aquaculture Project has been cooperated with the BMR-Taiwan and the government of the Republic of Palau since 2012, whereas the cooperation of rabbit fish aquaculture has been established since 2015. The aim for BMR & AP Taiwan (R.O.C) will continue to expand the sea ranching and collect the scientific database of growth performance and aquaculture management of rabbit fish. (PR)
