A Purpose-Driven Celebration Benefitting American Cancer Society and Guam Cancer Care

Hagåtña, GU: Bank of Guam proudly announces the return of the Hagåtña City Run & Block Party.

After a successful return to the heart of Hagåtña last year, Bank of Guam takes to the streets once again to kick off its 52nd Founder’s Day Anniversary with even more reasons to celebrate. The Bank’s signature event enters its 17th year and is set for Saturday, March 9, 2024, with festivities set to begin at 5:30 PM at the Plaza de España and Guam Museum grounds.

Get ready for an unforgettable sunset 5K, experience local entertainment, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament hosted by Clutch Guam, a Kids Zone featuring rides and activities for kids of all ages, food trucks, novelty vendors and a showcase of non-profit organizations allowing them to spread awareness for some very important causes.

Bank of Guam is proud to take a holistic approach toward the fight against cancer with all proceeds to benefit both Guam Cancer Care and the Guam Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

We couldn’t think of a better of a better way celebrate 52 years as The People’s Bank than doing the thing that means the most – celebrating our People. Over the years, our commitment toward the fight against cancer continues to grow and so does our belief that no one should fight alone. This year, we proudly commit 100% of our proceeds to both of our local cancer organizations who together, continue to advocate for our cancer survivors and caregivers. I encourage everyone to come out and join us as we celebrate another year in service to our community but also, celebrate this fight and our spirit as a community to uplift and inspire those who need it most. -Joaquin P. LG. Cook, President & Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Guam

Over many decades, Bank of Guam continues to be a big-hearted community partner with the American Cancer Society. The Hagåtña City Run & Block Party is an extension of the many ways Bank of Guam finds to support the people of Guam that have been affected by cancer. Our fight against cancer is stronger than ever with this partnership and we look forward to the big event.

-Ed Lee, Development Manager, Guam Field Office, American Cancer Society

Bank of Guam’s unwavering support and partnership over the years have strengthened our mission and most importantly raised awareness and critical funding for cancer assistance in our island community. Thank you to Bank of Guam for continuing to make a meaningful impact on our families affected by cancer in Guam.
