Bureau of Public Safety Director Ishmael Aquon entered a plea agreement, pleading guilty to a Negligent Driving charge and in exchange, he is placed on probation for three (3) months and pay a fine of sixty dollars ($60).

Director Aquon, based on the conditions of the plea agreement, will comply with the laws of the Republic, report to his probation officer, and not leave the country without the court’s approval.

The Director of Public Safety was charged with Negligent Driving, after “he drove around a curve  at Airai driving onto the opposing lane and colliding into the rear end of Riang Yosino’s vehicle.  The charge is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment of up to 30 days or a fine of not more than $100.
