The Bureau of Public Safety (BPS) is set to intensify sobriety checkpoints and community watch this summer.

In an interview with Island Times on Friday, Chief of Patrol Division, Favian Ngiramengior, said that during the summer, their office will be intensifying their watch and will conduct surprise visits to establishments and stores.

Police Officers will be checking out if stores follow the regulations such as the prohibition of the selling of tobacco and alcohol to the underage.

Business establishments that will be found in violation of the law will be issued a citation, according to Ngiramengior. ( Rhealyn C. Pojas)
