In preparation for the implementation of the tax reform on January 01, 2023, the Bureau of Revenue & Taxation continues to register companies for PGST. Currently, a total of 56 companies have registered, including one that registered voluntarily. As required by law, the transitional registration period began on October 03, 2022, and will remain open until December 31, 2022, for taxpayers with taxable supplies over $300,000 and all FIAC Certificate holders.
BRT expects more registration in the coming weeks and continues to work to support taxpayers to get ready to meet their obligations easily and confidently. Over the past few months, the Bureau of Revenue & Taxation has conducted workshops and consultations with taxpayers to educate and assist the business community in implementing tax reform. The Bureau will continue to plan and hold workshops and consultations to provide support for affected taxpayers.
“Avoid long lines and register early, we are here to help,” says Elway Ikeda, BRT Director. Find out if you need to register and download the forms by visiting www. palaugov.org/taxreform or contact us.
