Angaur State Liberation Day was celebrated on October 8 with members of the Civic Action Team 84-10. Governor Misech said this was a fitting celebration, the day the American soldiers liberated the citizens of Angaur who had been hiding in caves while war raged above them.
“Civic Action Team 84-10 was honored to participate in the 81st Angaur Liberation Day celebration and, alongside Marine Corps Engineer Detachment – Palau, pay tribute to the brave men of the 81st Airborne Division who fought in the Battle of Angaur.
