The Ministry of Health (MOH), in an announcement, said that all Community Health Centers (CHCs) and health dispensaries will be closed for the holidays by end of November.
The MOH announced that the CHCs in Koror, the CHC-II in Airai, the Northern Community Health Center (NCHC) in Ngarchelong, Western Community Health Center (WCHC) in Ngeremlengui, and the Eastern Community Health Center–ECHC in Melekeok will be closed on Wednesday, November 27, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm to allow staff to participate in the National Government Appreciation Day.
The health dispensaries will also be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, for the Thanksgiving Day and Family day celebrations.
The MOH stated that the regular office schedule will resume on December 2 but emphasized that the Outpatient Department (OPD) at the Belau National Hospital will remain open on November 27 as early as 7:30am until 4:40pm. But the OPD will also be closed on November 28 and 29 in observance of the holidays.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you all for your understanding,” the MOH stated.
