A young man, Jonathan Finay, was arrested allegedly for drug trafficking after a police team shot the tires of his vehicle as he tried to get away from a drug bust.
According to a police affidavit, a confidential informant contacted Mr. Finay to purchase drugs, methamphetamine. After tracking the informant, a black SUV pulled up to the informant and exchanged a clear straw with a crystalline substance for money.
After the exchange, officers were told to arrest Mr. Finay, who according to the report attempted to escape the police blockade. The police fired two shots at the wheels of the SUV stopping the vehicle.
Mr. Finay was arrested and charged with two felony counts, Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Possession of Less Than a Gram of a Controlled Substance.
The person or persons charged are deemed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
