An investigation is underway on an attempted use of counterfeit US $100 bills at a local establishment.  The report was received by the police on April 24th  of a woman attempting to purchase items at Duty-Free Store with a fake $100 dollar bill.

The picture of the fake currency has on the bottom left side, on the shoulder of Franklin’s picture, a Cambodian-type character with word COPY below it.  The fake currency also had the ink streak down the middle showing that it is counterfeit.

According to sources, the woman who made a purchase is a local and is a known customer at the DFS.

The case is under investigation at this time.
