The Miss Belau pageant, one of the main features of this year’s 29th Independence Day event, is happening tonight, the 30th of September, at the Island Paradise Resort Club.
Seven Palauan beauties will be vying for the crown of Miss Belau. The lucky winner will walk away with a $1,000 cash prize, opportunities to represent Palau in regional and international forums, and additional responsibilities and opportunities afforded the winner.
All contestants will receive consolation prizes of $100. The second runner-up will win $500 and the third runner-up $300. There will also be additional prizes, such as gift certificates and vouchers.
The contestants will be competing in traditional wear, island wear, and evening wear competitions, as well as a talent competition.
The beauty contestants are Dee Antonio, Breng Ngiratkakl, Kissiah Ngiraibuuch, Jamaira Richard, Ibuuch Kumaichi, Violet Kenzio, and Itz Obil.
