Over 200 senior citizens from the four western states of Babeldaob—Aimeliik, Ngatpang, Ngeremlengui, and Ngardmau—gathered at Koksai in Ngatpang to celebrate Senior Citizens Day, marking the first time the event was jointly held by these states.

“We want this to continue—celebrating together strengthens our bonds and brings our communities closer,” shared women from Ngeremlengui, echoing the sentiments of seniors from the other participating states.

The celebration featured songs, dances, and games that sparked fond memories, laughter, and goodwill. Observed across Palau on May 5, Senior Citizens Day honors the nation’s elders by recognizing their contributions and celebrating their lives.
