Koror, Palau – The Palau Sports Fishing Association (PSFA) concluded its action-packed 32nd Annual Fishing Derby over the weekend of May 3-4, featuring the prestigious ETPISON CUP 2025. With all-time high participation and record-smashing catches, the events brought together Palau’s elite sportfishing talent across multiple competitive divisions.

PSFA congratulated Team Reel Treat, led by Captain Rechirei, who landed the competition’s largest catch after a gruelling 90-minute battle: a colossal 427.5-pound billfish that secured them both top honors and the NIB Shimano Tingre 130-reel bonus. Team Local and Captain Duab Malsol claimed victory in the tuna category with their 100lbs yellowfin catch, while Team Erker and Captain Richard Eberdong took top honors in the Wahoo/Barracuda/Spanish Mackerel division with a 30lbs Spanish mackerel. Running alongside the main event was the GT Catch & Release competition, won by Team Kesi’s Captain Ivan Blesam with a 39.2-inch giant trevally.

PSFA extends its deepest gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and sponsors whose support made the 32nd Annual Fishing Derby a resounding success. Special recognition goes to the ETPISON CUP 2025 title sponsors, Team Reel Treat for providing the bonus prize, and Drop Off Bar & Grill for hosting the awards banquet.
