Community and Cultural Affairs Minister Baklai Temengil Chilton announced that they will work with the National Development Bank of Palau (NDBP) in building eight new houses under the National Housing program.

Five of the housing units will be built in different in Koror, one will be in Melekeok, one in Ngaraard, and one in Airai.

Before the land can be used by the clients, Minister Baklai said that they worked with the Bureau of Land and Survey so that lands can be surveyed. They further coordinated with the NDBP in developing the land before handing them to the clients.

The Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs (MCCA) also worked with the state governments and the permitting agencies in order to speed up the permitting process so that it will be convenient for the clients.

Then National Development Bank of Palau (NDBP) awards the clients with the necessary funds that are needed in order to build their houses. This project came about because of the growing need for houses in Palau. (Telbakes Yano)
