Palau National Scholarship Board (PNSB) awarded the Masami Siksei Memorial Scholarship (MSMS) to Fabian Iyar, III for this school year 2024-2025.  The late Mr. Masami Siksei was a strong advocate for education and his family has established this scholarship as a tribute to him.  A recipient of this scholarship must major in a preferred field of study as identified by the donor, must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and be actively involved in the school and the community and other extra-curricular activities.  

 Mr. Iyar is a recent graduate of Emmaus-Bethania High School who is now enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa pursuing his bachelor’s degree in biological engineering.  The scholarship Board selected Mr. Iyar based his outstanding academic record, his major, well written essay, and his extra-curricular activities.

Since Iyar is presently in Honolulu, Hawaii, his proud sister, Ms. Sammy Omtilou Iyar accepted the $5,000.00 scholarship award on his behalf from Mrs. Sophia Seid representing  Masami Siksei Memorial Scholarship, while PNSB Vice-Chairperson Joseph Anastacio witnessed the proud moment.
