The Office of the Attorney General has filed charges of drug possession and trafficking against Murphy Shiro, alleging Shiro had trafficked methamphetamine or ice on two separate occasions.
Court charging documents allege that Mr. Shiro had sold methamphetamine twice to a Confidential Informant on two separate times. On October 6, 2023, the information alleged Mr. Shiro sold .11 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. He did the same on November 28, selling .11 grams of meth to the informant during a police-monitored buy operation.
Mr. Shiro is charged with two counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both are felony charges, with Trafficking charges carrying a penalty of not less than 25 years imprisonment and a fine of not less than $50,000 dollars if proven guilty. Possession of a Controlled Substance charge carries a penalty of not less than 5 years imprisonment and a fine of not less than $10,000.
The defendant in this case is presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
