A big crowd gathered at the Ngchesar State Government Office grounds on Wednesday as Palau celebrated the United Nations Day, World Food Day, and the Olchotel Belau Fair (OBF).
The celebration kicked off with the parade of nations while arts and crafts and other fun games also kept visitors and guests entertained throughout day.
Music and dance performances were also presented with young performers dominating the stage with their colorful traditional costumes.
The Bureau of Marine Resources and Agriculture also did an exhibit where guests can see firsthand some of the cultured marine species. Aside from that, the Palau National Marine Sanctuary (PNMS) also had a booth where visitors can learn about the conservation initiatives and works of the agency.
Visitors also had the chance to try a free fruit shake made from locally produced fruits like dragon fruit, banana, and papaya.
If one wants to try local food and delicacies, the OBF provides a good venue for visitors as the states displayed and sold them at the fair. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
