16 November 2022— December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), and Palau joins the world celebrating this day.
The theme this year is “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fueling an accessible and equitable world”. The 2022 global observance to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be around the overarching theme of innovation and transformative solutions for inclusive development, covering in three different interactive dialogues the following thematic topics:
l Innovation for disability inclusive development in employment (SDG8); and
l Innovation for disability inclusive development in reducing inequality (SDG10); and
l Innovation for disability inclusive development: sport as an exemplar case.
This year’s observance in Palau will include a week-long schedule of awareness activities beginning Monday, November 28 and culminating Friday, December 2, 2022. Please see below for more details.

There will be consultations and other media events to be carried out prior to the IDPD week.
