July 1, 2017 (Koror, Palau) Well-wishers, citizens of Italy and local officials joined the outgoing Ambassador Massimo Roscigno of Italy to the Republic of Palau in offering cheers in celebration of the Republic Day of Italy and bidding farewell to His Excellency Ambassador Roscigno whose term as ambassador to Palau concluded.


Ambassador Roscigno expressed Italy stands in solidarity and shares sympathies with Palau on climate change and global warming challenges, and will continue to work closely with Palau in this area.

“Although Italy is geographically very far from Palau we also share some similar challenges and we continue to work together in the international arena to address those challenges,” stated His Excellency Roscigno.

Minister of State Faustina Rehuher-Marugg offered Palau’s best wishes to the people and the country of Italy on behalf of the national government and reiterated cooperation and support as issues of common concern with Italy.

Ambassador Roscigno and his family were warmly invited back as private citizens by Vice President Raynold Oilouch. [/restrict]
