A brand new fire truck courtesy of the Japan Government has been donated to the Ministry of Justice during a short handover ceremony that took place at the Bureau of Public Safety on Monday September 14th.
The fire truck which cost $365,000 is part of a package worth 2 million dollars under a Japan Grant Aid for economic and social development.
The short ceremony was attended by Vice-President RaynoldOilouch, Ambassador Akira Karasawa, and various staff members from the Ministry of Justice.
Director of Bureau of Public Safety AloysisusAlonz mentioned that the Bureau of Public Safety as well as the Division of Fire and Rescue are very happy for the brand new fire truck and thanked the government of Japan for the donation.
Director Alonz went on to say that the fire trucks that are currently in possession are old and would break down so the new fire truck will be a huge help for their work.
