Koror, Palau – The Japanese community in Palau has been collecting trash throughout Koror every weekend since 2021.
This week, the group was highlighted in many social media platforms and their effort appreciated and shared on social media by many Palauans.
The organization called “Gomizu” has been collecting trash voluntarily around Koror every Saturday morning. It consists of Japanese nationals most of which are working in Palau’s Tourism industry.
Their most recent project posted in social media 4 days ago included trash collection that began at the Track and Field and was carried out around Koror boasting 35 participants of Japanese residents.
